The Venetian

Before going to our Tournament of Kings show on Sunday night, we headed the other way up the Strip to show the boys The Venetian. It was always my second-favourite Vegas hotel/casino after the Bellagio, though after this visit I think it's now my favourite. Mainly because the Bellagio is always super crowded, so The Venetian is a lot more relaxing to visit!

We enquired about the price of a gondola ride. They charge per person, so it'd cost a family of four twice as much as the real thing in Venice (which is not cheap either)... for half the amount of time!

As B put it, Vegas's whole philosophy is to take everything cool from the rest of the world and put it in Vegas. Eiffel Tower? Yep, got one of those. Statue of Liberty? Check. Canals, gondolas and singing gondoliers? Sure thing. Ice bar? Why not? Sign us up! You can see the rack of coats for customers to borrow.
B and I might be able to resist buying a timeshare, but it was really hard to walk away from this life-sized llama made from spark plugs.
