Shoe shenanigans

When I was putting F's non-trip shoes into storage this morning, I found two identical pairs of sneakers — having not realised until then that he even had two identical pairs — and asked which ones he wanted to take on the trip. It transpired that he preferred the most worn-out ones because the others "felt weird".

So, to avoid having to replace the disintegrating pair a few weeks into the trip, we decided to go and buy ANOTHER pair. (Good thing they're only $29... might be a matter of getting what we paid for!) He tried the next size up, but they also "felt weird", so we ended up getting the same size again. And that's the story of why F has three pairs of shoes in the same brand and size. 😅

But that's okay, because it's really important to have comfortable shoes when you're travelling! We'll be on our feet for hours on end, and each of us is only taking two pairs of shoes: a pair of boots and a pair of sneakers. We've put a lot of thought and effort into our shoe selection... and, except for this incident, made sure to break them in before the trip!
