Paris to Philadelphia to Miami to Barbados to Miami to Seattle

AKA: How we got from France to Canada via a week in Barbados
The Wednesday we left Paris was one of our longer travel days. We were originally booked to fly Paris to Miami and straight on to Barbados, but that flight was cancelled so we had to rebook Paris to Philadelphia to Miami, and then on to Barbados the next day.
After our 13+ hour flight day from Singapore to Helsinki (awake for about 23 hours), this was our second longest travel day so far. We were all (mostly) awake for about 22 hours — up at about 7am in Paris and in bed around 11pm in Miami (with a time change of 6 hours meaning our bodies thought it was 5am by then).
After our all-too-brief overnight stay, we had a short day in Miami, which we mostly used to reacquaint ourselves with the local cuisine — IHOP for breakfast and Denny's for lunch.

Our onward flight to Barbados was delayed for a couple of hours, so it was 2am Friday morning by the time we got to bed there! (See separate post about our Bajan adventures.)
We set a new record a week later flying from Barbados to Seattle, via Miami again — up at 4am in Barbados, in bed after midnight in Seattle, with a 9 hour layover in Miami and a time change of 4 hours making for a 24+ hour day!
We do usually get some sleep on the longer flights, but not of a particularly good quality. F and J have been impressing us with how well they cope with such long days (though it's definitely showing by the end). We all crash pretty hard when we do reach our beds, but don't usually sleep in, so at least we're acclimating to the new time zones pretty quick!
Here are some photos from Miami and the various airports we passed through on the aforementioned travel days...

How cool are they?!
