More Neopolitan scenes

Here are some more things we saw (mostly on Tuesday) in fascinating, gritty, busy, chaotic, overstimulating Naples!

Bookshops (all within a few steps of our AirBnb)...

Food shops...

My breakfast from the shop on the left above. We thought it was yoghurt and granola, but it tasted like cream and biscuit!
Part of our lunch. We also had pizza.
Cheese selection at the supermarket.
Delicious dinner made with supermarket ingredients... two types of ravioli (prosciutto and mushroom), pancetta and grano padano. A very Italian meal!

Side streets leading off Via Toledo; so interesting to just wander...

Galleria Umberto I (a very fancy shopping mall)...

Cool mosaics.

People doing their jobs...

Funeral/death notices and altars...

Pets...

Funiculars (we rode one of them)...

Villa Floridiana gardens...

Amazing views of Naples from the hillside below Castel Sant'Elmo...

Castel Sant'Elmo.
That's Mount Vesuvius in the background!
Panoramic fun 😁
...and more...
... and more!

And LOTS of steps, as we walked back to our AirBnb rather than taking the funicular back down (this was our >11km walking day!)...

Hillside orchard below Castel Sant'Elmo.
Someone whose house opens onto the stairs had a good business idea.

We loved Naples! 🇮🇹
