Kukup Fishing Village
Boat ride around Kukup Fishing Village.

After the dog shelter, Mimi took us to Kukup Fishing Village, which is about an hour's drive from JB. It was too late in the day for us to explore the national park island she had wanted to take us to for a walk, but we took a boat ride around the fish farms and that was very interesting!

Here's the boat we rode in. We were the only passengers and sat on the bow in front of the driver's cabin (see feature pic).

Fish farm sights...

This is the national park Mimi had wanted to take us to.
Those mountains are Indonesia!
This ferry takes people between Kukup and Indonesia.

We also saw a monkey scampering about on a roof at one of the fish farms — and I had spotted about four snuggled up under a guard rail while we were driving earlier — but I didn't manage to get any photos!
