A visit to the deer (and alpacas, goats and wild boars)
Deer whiskers.

On Friday afternoon, we visited the local Hirsch Park (deer park) with Donna and Matthias and their kids (who like to visit regularly). Apparently this year has been a great year for acorns, so we had pocket-fulls in abundance (sourced from a big bag in the back of Donna and Matthias's car). According to our local guides, the animals actually prefer acorns to the food you can buy at the park, so we had lots of interested animals.

We missed some gorgeous/hilarious all-four-feet-at-once jumping/prancing just before this.

Antler-guy was not able to be tempted by acorns (though he did eat those thrown nearby).
It felt a bit like being in an Asterix and Obelix comic.
